We have 40 power driven looms dating from 1890 to 1980 - all antiques by today's standards. The looms are power driven, but the setups still need to be done by hand, this includes: quilling, making warps, enterings warps, knotting warps, making and cutting pattern cards. We are a small family owned business with 12 employees. We are one of the few remaining textile mills in the United States. Harley-Davidson Motor Co. Established as an assembly facility in 1973, Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations in York, Pa. is the largest Harley-Davidson manufacturing facility, employing roughly half the company's production workforce. The York facility covers more than 230 acres and has over 1.5 million square feet under roof. Your journey begins with an introductory movie and continues on the factory floor where you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the people, processes and products of York Vehicle Operations. You'll be guided through various manufacturing and assembly areas, watch as parts are formed, welded, machined and polished, and see freshly painted and chrome plated parts. Snyder's of Hanover Factory Outlet Only our Hanover, PA, Pretzel Bakery offers an in-house tour that combines our exciting history with our fast paced manufacturing facility. There are no tours in the Goodyear, Arizona facility. There is no fee for the tour. It is geared for ages 5 and up, but everyone will enjoy seeing how pretzels and potato chips are made. The guide will take you on a walking tour which allows you to look down upon our raw material warehouse, finished goods warehouse (where you will see robotics at work), and our complex packing room with state of the art packing equipment. You will then see the oven room where you can almost taste the pretzels. The guide then finishes up by showing you how potato chips are made from beginning to end. The tour starts and ends at the Factory Store where you will be treated to a free bag of pretzels at the completion of the tour. Weightlifting Hall of Fame and York Barbell The Weightlifting Hall of Fame contains a diverse history of the strength sports, their evolution from mythology to the early Olympic Games, and from the 19th and 20th century amateur and professional strongmen to the current specialized sports of Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting and bodybuilding.
