Codorus State Park
The 3,329-acre Codorus State Park is in the southwest corner of York County, about three miles southeast of Hanover, Pennsylvania, along PA 216. A prime attraction of the park is the 1,275-acre Lake Marburg, which has 26 miles of shoreline. Fishing is popular. The lake has good winds for sailing.

Gifford Pinchot State Park Gifford Pinchot State Park
Gifford Pinchot State Park, a 2,338-acre full service park, is in northern York County along PA 177 between the towns of Rossville and Lewisberry. The park consists of reverting farm fields and wooded hillsides with the 340-acre Pinchot Lake serving as a prime attraction.

Heritage Rail Trail Tunnel Heritage Rail Trail County Park
Heritage Rail Trail County Park
Horseback riding, running, and bicycling are some of the past times this 21-mile trail offers. Heritage Rail Trail County Park starts at in the heart of downtown York and connects with a trail in Maryland. The park, which centers on a section of the Northern Central Railroad line, also has a working train line, several picnic areas, and quaint sitting benches. The trail crosses sections of Codorus Creek as well as two railroad stations and Howard Tunnel, the country's oldest train tunnel.

Judy Rudy Park, York County Ballon Fest Judy Rudy Park John Rudy County Park
143 acres of sports and history located near Emigsville. With a five-kilometer cross-country course and soccer, softball, sand volleyball fields, Bumps & Berms BMX Track, Balloon Fest (in June), Display Garden Tours, Canine Meadows - Off-leash dog area, this is one of the area's most popular recreation spots. Originally a farm, this area has served as the John Rudy County Park for the past 30 years old. The park features a number of historic buildings, including a stone house that dates to 1798 and an early 1800's barn. There is also a playground and horseshoe pits for public use.

Richard M. Nixon County Park
One hundred fifty-seven acres of meadow, woodland and aquatic habitats and was established in 1968. Donated by the Bob Hoffman family and named after President Richard M. Nixon.

Rocky Ridge County Park Rocky Ridge County Park
Ninety percent of this 750 acre park is a mature oak forest. Rocky Ridge was acquired in 1968, making it the first county park. It is perched on a rock-strewn hilltop northwest of Hallam, one of the first places the county's original settlers, who crossed the Susquehanna River, established homes. Christmas Magic, "A Festival of Lights" This event is a park sponsored spectacular 200,000+ multi-colored light show. It features a one-half mile walking trail that winds through Oak Timbers Picnic Area with stops in heated pavilions. Refreshments are available. The trail opens the Friday after Thanksgiving and remains open until December 31st. (Closed December 24 and 25)

Sam Lewis State ParkSam Lewis State Park
This 85-acre state park is dominated by Mt. Pisgah, an 885-foot high ridge separating Kreutz Creek Valley and East Prospect Valley. The overlook offers a spectacular view of the Susquehanna River Valley. The park landscape consists of mowed grass fields on the northern and eastern park slopes, pine plantations in the southern area and mature woods on the western section of the park.

Spring Valley County ParkSpring Valley County Park
868 acres made of old agricultural fields and an uneven aged forest. Established in 1972. There are over five miles of trails throughout the park. Horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking are permitted on all trails. Two horse show rings and one practice ring can be rented for a nominal fee or each one can be rented separately. Fish for Fun Area - This one acre pond contains catfish, panfish and a number of small bass.

Established in 1977, William H. Kain County Park consists of 1,637 acres and 2 lakes, Lake Williams (220 acres) and Lake Redman (290 acres). The park is made possible through a 50 year lease agreement between the County of York and The York Water Company. Boating and fishing on Lake Redman and Lake Williams is the main attraction of this park. Boat rental available.
Address:   From York: George Street south to Jacobus. Turn left onto Church Road, go 6 miles to boat launch area.
